Compatible & Remanufactured Cartridges

As you know I cover a wide range of subjects in Click but from time to time I like to come back to talking about what my company does best which is of course the sale of printer cartridges. Some of my loyal customers will already know this already but we have recently set up a trade counter in Torquay Road so that as well as making orders online it is now possible for customers to come into store and collect their computer consumables directly.

Many of you are still unaware of the advantages that compatible or remanufactured cartridges offer and instead are buying manufacturers original cartridges which are far more expensive in comparison. So that you can make an informed decision as to whether these alternatives are for you I have recapped on some of the main points below:

Compatible cartridges:

These cartridges are brand new alternatives to the manufacturers’ original cartridges and whilst made sufficiently different to avoid infringing any copyrights they are still 100% compatible with whichever machine they were designed to fit. These types of cartridges can be primarily used in Epson, Canon and Brother machines as all three of these models of printer use simple ink tanks which are easy to create compatible versions of without infringing patents.Typically these cartridges start at just £1.49 each in store.

Remanufactured cartridges:

These cartridges are typically created for printers such as HP, Lexmark, Samsung and Dell printers which cannot use compatible cartridges for legal reasons. All four of the aforementioned models use complex cartridges that contain all the printing technology inside the cartridge as opposed to it being contained within the printer. This complex technology cannot be legally copied so instead specialist recycling companies buy up the empty cartridges, strip them down, clean them out, refill them and then fully test them before sending them on to us.The socially conscious amongst you will also appreciate the fact that by remanufacturing an empty cartridge you prevent it from entering a landfill but instead recycle it so that it can be used again.Typically these cartridges start at around £8.99 each in store and have the added advantage of often containing more ink that the manufacturers original cartridges.

Of course the manufacturers do make a sterling job of producing their own brand name originals but at the end of the day you’ve got nothing to lose by trying an alternative so why not pop down and see us at 158 Torquay Road to see if there is anything we can do to save you money. There are other compatible and remanufactured cartridge companies in the area so I do invite you to phone around to always check that you are always getting the best deal.Do bear in mind that if you are not currently in the market for printer cartridges that we do also have a range of blank CD’s and DVD’s in store along with several other computer essentials such as memory cards and printer paper.

I appreciate you bearing with me this week as I discuss my own business but I am excited about the new trade counter opening and am hoping this article will result in a few of you coming down to visit us.
